On 31.05.2011 lawyer Roberto Del Manto gave a lecture about “Criminal aspects of the Biosafety Law.” The event was part of the 2nd Environmental Week of Santo Amaro Subsection that is increasingly out by the activeness of its Committee. After six years in force, Law 11.105/05 was completely revised in the event, to discuss how today the Brazilian Courts face and interpret legally controversial issues such as genetic animal, plant and human manipulation(the latter by the use of stem cells ) beyond the controversial issue of GMOs in the country and their studies on the environmental impact, in the triple responsibility (civil, administrative and criminal).
